Vanille honey

Balinese vanilla in raw Dutch honey.

Our vanilla honey is created by infusing raw honey from the Dutch countryside with whole Balinese vanilla pods. The seeds are carefully scraped from the pods and blended into the honey, after which the mixture is left to rest so the full aroma and sweetness of the vanilla can naturally develop. The result is a soft, floral, deeply fragrant honey with tiny black vanilla seeds as a sign of authenticity.

This honey carries the richness of raw, unheated nectar from Dutch beehives, combined with vanilla pods that are hand pollinated in the mountain villages of Bali and sun dried. Crafted in small batches, it offers a natural sweetness that feels both indulgent and nourishing.

Vanilla honey and cacao

Cacao and vanilla have been inseparable for centuries. In the traditions of the Maya and Aztecs, vanilla was used to soften and balance ceremonial cacao. When cacao arrived in Europe, vanilla remained its steadfast partner, helping shape chocolate as we know it today. By adding vanilla honey to pure cacao, you continue this tradition: a cup that feels sweet, fragrant, and deeply earthy.

How to prepare

  1. Heat 125 ml of water or (plant‑based) milk.

  2. Add 20–30 g of pure cacao and stir until creamy.

  3. Stir in a spoonful of vanilla honey at the end to preserve strength, flavor, and aroma.

Also delicious in tea, mixed into yogurt, in smoothies, fruit bowls, or as a natural sweetener in salads and desserts.

Traditional herbal wisdom

In Indonesia, honey has been used for centuries in herbal preparations to balance potent roots and support vitality. Vanilla, hand‑pollinated and sun‑dried in Bali, carries care and knowledge passed down through generations. Together they create vanilla honey: a product that nourishes the body and enriches daily rituals with gentle sweetness and timeless tradition.
